Courtesy of Haydocy Airstream & RV March 29, 2013: RV Shipments Expected to Surpass 307,000 Units in 2013 Wholesale RV shipments are expected to rise to 307,300 units in 2013, according to Dr. Richard Curtin’s latest projection in the Spring 2013 issue of RV Roadsigns, RVIA’s quarterly forecast of RV deliveries to RV retailers. The gain to 307,300 units would be a 7.5% increase over the 2012 year-end total of 285,800 units. The motorhome segment of the market will see a gain of 13.1% from 28,200 units in 2012 to 31,900 units in 2013. Towable RV shipments are expected to climb by 7% from 257,600 units in 2012 to 275,400 units in 2013. Curtin says growth will be driven by a combination of factors. “Credit terms and the availability of loans can be expected to ease further in 2013. Gains in household wealth can be expected to continue in 2013 due to both an improving stock market as well as increased home prices while modest gains in after-tax incomes and..." ODNR offers a free night of camping

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) will be offering a free night of camping at 54 campgrounds within Ohio State Parks on Thursday, April 18, the ODNR announced today. “I want to encourage Ohioans to start their weekend early by camping at one of our Ohio State Parks campgrounds for free,” said ODNR Director James Zehringer. “This is an excellent opportunity for families to explore new parts of Ohio and find out what is available within our state parks system.” For this promotion, campers can make a free reservation for a stay that includes the Free Camping Day. To make the reservation, campers must call the Ohio State Parks Reservation Call Center at 866.644.6727. Customers can also reserve online but will pay the standard reservation fee. Bucyrus, 03/18/2013 – Haydocy Chevy is partnering with the Bucyrus Area YMCA in Bucyrus.  Haydocy Chevy has joined forces with the national Chevrolet Youth Baseball program to provide new equipment, a monetary contribution, invitations to FREE instructional clinics, and an opportunity for community members to enter the Free Chevrolet vehicle sweepstakes.

“Youth baseball provides positive and productive life lessons for young people across America, and the Chevrolet Youth Baseball program is an extension of Chevrolet’s commitment to baseball, community and families.  Haydocy Chevy is bringing that same dedication to youth baseball,” said Kevin Haydocy, president  for Haydocy Chevy.

Each participating market will award a secondary prize.

GENEVA -- Could the Opel Cascada convertible unveiled at the show here today be headed to Buick showrooms in North America? General Motors Vice Chairman Steve Girsky wouldn't say for sure, but offered this grist for the rumor mill: "The Cascada is dynamite -- it looks great. That's what [GM CEO Dan] Akerson said also," Girsky told Automotive News after the soft top's unveiling. "He says the Buick dealers would really like that in their showroom." GM is rumored to be mulling the addition of a coupe or convertible to Buick's U.S. lineup under the Verano nameplate -- or maybe even badged as a Riviera. The Cascada is an Opel Astra variant and shares a platform with the Verano compact sedan, launched in the United States in late 2011. The Kingwood Center’s grounds and greenhouse opened Friday for a new gardening season. Hours for visiting the grounds or shopping at the greenhouse are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. There is no admission fee during March.

The new greenhouse manager is Doug Schuster. He reports a variety of plants are for sale, including houseplants, potted flowering plants and a variety of other plants with color appeal or for Easter. Enter the grounds at the Trimble Road entrance, which leads to a large parking lot.

Schuster is interested in your future plant purchases. Tell him the types of bedding plants you may want in April and May. He plans to grow more bedding plants this year.

Kingwood Center is now in its 60th year.
